When you call a commercial campground to make a reservation, tell them you\u2019re with Southeast Lows and they will try to put you with our group.<\/strong> For state campgrounds, look for a site near ones already reserved. Because we\u2019re making reservations early, check on campground refund policies in case you have to cancel. After you make a reservation, please email southeastlows@gmail.com to let Cheryl know that you plan to attend.<\/p>\n

JUNE 7 – 14<\/h2>\n

\nRegular sites $50\/day, $310\/wk, full-hookup, with Wi-Fi and cable TV. Some pull-thrus
\nPremier lakeview sites $65\/day, no weekly discount.
\nThey are holding 10 sites until February 5,<\/strong> but will try to put everyone who calls after that date close to our group. Deposit is one day rate ($50 for regular sites). They don\u2019t give refunds for cancellations; only future credit if cancelled at least 2 days before arrival date.
\nFollow the directions on their website, not a GPS, or call them for assistance.<\/strong>
\nTwelve people came to the campout. Unfortunately, Barbara Overby fell and broke her collarbone the first full day and had to be taken to the hospital. One guest joined at the campout. Photos are on Facebook\/Southeast Lows.<\/p>\n

JULY 5 – 12<\/h2>\n

\nBecause we are now a small group, they don\u2019t want to make reservations for us. But they don\u2019t expect to be busy during this time. The box office will be closed on Sunday when we arrive, so I suggest we call others that we know plan to be there to get sites close to each other. We\u2019ll pay on Monday when the box office is open.

AUGUST 2 \u2013 9<\/h2>\n

\nGloria, Karen, and Bobbi are in #42, 44, and 41. I got a pull-thru #48. Gloria was told the only full hook-sites for our dates are #8, 9, 11, and 12.
\nAround $42\/night (rate doesn\u2019t change with more reservations.) At check-in, tell them you\u2019re a senior for the 20% Senior discount.<\/strong>

SEPTEMBER 13 \u2013 20<\/h2>\n

\nDESOTO STATE PARK, 7104 Desoto Parkway NE, Ft Payne, Alabama,
\nWinter hours until March 1 for reservations: Thur-Mon, 800-760-4089, Tues-Wed, 256-845-5075.
\nRates will increase as more reservations are made, so make reservation ASAP to get better rate. <\/strong>They give a 15% senior discount; which is included in full payment when reserving.
\nBobbi, Karen, and Gloria have reserved # 88, 89, and 91. I got a pull-thru, #40. Sites 36-58 are pull-thrus. Wi-Fi not available at all sites but available at bath houses.
\nAll sites are full hook-up, Rates can vary from $42 up to $80s as sites are reserved. My rate on 1\/24 was $308.30\/wk.
